PreviDent is a 1.1 percent sodium fluoride that provides extra strength protection from cavities. Available by prescription only, PreviDent is a brush-on gel designed for use at home. It comes in two different flavors and is proven 91 percent effective in preventing early tooth decay. We commonly recommend this product to patients who live in areas where the drinking water is not fluoridated.
